Things That Only Jason Statham Can Do In Movies

Hollywood fan admires the role Jason Statham portrays on the screen. And he can do anything, literally anything!!

Since the late 90s, Jason has maintained his title of the world’s most commendable action star. While actors have had their ups and downs, Jason has only moved up in the list of Hollywood celebs. Having such a consistent career isn’t easy. His talent even got him involved in the Fast & Furious Franchise as an antagonist, and later on, he got a spin-off with Dwayne Johnson. Isn’t this remarkable that with just 2 movies, he landed a spin-off? Well, that’s Jason Statham for you.

Instead of the regular cheesy moments like the 80s and 90s, his movies are action-packed with a modern flair that lights up the sparks in the viewer’s eyes. And even after being criticized for doing similar roles and not taking challenging roles, he sticks with his formula and attains success each time.

Here are some marvelous things done by Jason in his movies that nobody would even think about.

1: Leaving a Voicemail While Falling from a Helicopter

This even sounds crazy.

But not for Jason, he did it and somehow managed to look cool while doing so. If that’s not a remarkable performance, we don’t know what is.

It is a scene of his movie Crank, where Jason plays the role of Chev Chelios. For him, falling off seems like a regular thing, and he decided to drop a message on his girlfriend’s phone before landing on a car. Wow!!

2: Removing Explosive With Crane

The Transporter movies display the well-versed skills of Jason Statham in driving and fighting. After playing the role of Frank Martin, he got recognition globally. He is the most graceful driver we all have ever seen on the big screen. Driving his classy Audi A8, he can pull up stunts that make the audience want to stand up and clap for his courage.

What’s even more exciting is that Jason prefers doing his own stunts. So, when filming The Transporter 2, Gianni Chellini planted a bomb under his car, he decided to take it off with another dangerous stunt. He speeds his car and launches it turning the car mid-air to the side. The bottom touches the crane and unhooks the bomb that explodes shortly after. And don’t worry, Jason lands on the ground, unharmed on four wheels.

3: Kickstarting his Heart With A Car Battery

No matter how ridiculous it sounds, Jason can perform any stunt like its possible for human beings. In the movie Crank: High Voltage, a Chinese gangster kidnaps Chev and steal his heart. But he replaced it with an artificial heart that is designed to function for an hour only. He needed to recharge the heart again and again. And after he got into an accident that destroyed the battery charging his artificial heart, he decided to use a car battery. Asking around for help from locals, he takes jumper cables and attaches it to his nipples and tongue. Ironically, his heart starts beating again, giving the viewers a sigh of relief.

4: Fighting On A Plane With A Baby In His Hands

In The Fate of the Furious, Statham played the character of Deckard Shaw, who is willing to take any risk for his missions. While helping Dom to rescue his baby, he takes the baby from villain Cipher and juggle him to manage fighting, killing everyone without leaving a scratch on the baby.

Awarded as the Babysitter of the Decade, he cares enough to put headphones on the baby so that he doesn’t feel scared because of the gunshots. And the best touch was the small moments where he keeps on checking the baby after killing a man or two. Hush, another problem solved by Jason!

5: Beating Thugs With A Hockey Stick

There comes a time in the movie Blitz when Detective Tom Brunt, as in Jason Statham, goes to a group of street thugs. A normal man wouldn’t stand any chance with so many thugs on the streets, but it is Jason we are talking about. The fight is one-sided, where he has the upper hand. And to make the scene more interesting, Brunt holds a hockey stick.

He begins to fight while describing what a hockey stick is used for and makes fun of a guy holding a carpet knife. And before they know, Detective Brunt gives them a bit of useful advice – “If you are going to pick the wrong fight, please pick the right weapon.”

6: Fighting Megalodon

Portraying the character of Taylor in The Meg, Statham faces off with the prehistoric megalodon shark. This species of shark is extinct from the earth, and it used to be 64 feet long and weighed around 34 metric tons. It means that it can engulf a human with a flinch of your eye.

For the people who still haven’t seen the movie, imagine what it feels like to watch a man tackle such a giant shark. In most movies, the directors often kill such creatures with the help of explosive or group efforts. But Jason has his own way of doing things. He stabs the megalodon in the eye and cut through its body using his sub. As the shark starts bleeding, it attracts other sharks, and Taylor leaves the big one for the small ones.

Whether it is an unforgettable scene of The Transporter 3 where Jason drives on two wheels passing right through two trucks, or coming out of a brutal car crash without a scratch in Fast & Furious 7, Jason is the man of action in the Hollywood industry. He pulled off action sequences like fighting while tied to a chair in Killer Elite and delivering a headbutt without taking is cap off in Homefront, he is far too powerful to be beaten down by some petty thugs or blown by a bomb. We can only wonder what he’ll bring next in his movies that will leave everyone speechless.
