“Hummingbird” receives the new title of “Redemption” along with its updated versions of poster and trailer, which were added to our Redemption film page. We are uncertain whether the name change is in the film’s best interest since “Hummingbird” sounded not only appealing but also very intriguing. Anyway, as long as the film comes out and isn’t postponed again, we are happy campers in the Jason Statham universe.
As previously reported, it leaked online that Jason Statham would make a cameo appearance in Justin Lin’s “Fast & Furious 6” coming to theaters on May 24, 2013. Until today his involvement in the “Fast & Furious” franchise had never been publicly addressed.
DesdeHollywood was one of the press outlets attending the “Fast & Furious 6” World Premiere in London, UK, today, May 07, 2013 and chatted with actress Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty Ortiz.
When asked what Jason Statham would bring to the “Fast & Furious” franchise, the beautiful Latina answered, “Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, when you see these guys in a room you know they belong together […] You can see in their eyes that they have gone through a lot […] I applaud Universal for getting him on-board!”
And so do we!
Stuart Griffiths, a former soldier who knows about life on the streets from own experience, revealed in an interview with Sunday Express how Jason Statham sought him out for advice on his role as Joseph “Joey” Jones, a member of the Special Boat Service who goes AWOL after a bad experience in Afghanistan, in the upcoming Steven Knight-directed thriller “Redemption.”
We personally loved “The Expendables” and “The Expendables 2” so when none other than Sylvester Stallone himself shares an update about the third installment, we can’t help but get all excited about it. Via his official Twitter he teased, “EX3 is in high gear…. many choices to make, some Big surprises..” and added, “Antonio B. …? Could be.” And, there’s no doubt that he won’t live up to his own words.
At this point, it is still not officially confirmed whether Jason Statham will reprise his role as Lee Christmas but it’s very hard to imagine the next film without him. He shares some wonderful on screen chemistry with Stallone, and the friendship as well as the ongoing banter between their characters Barney Ross and Lee Christmas add a lot of heart and humor that would be surely missed.
