Sylvester Stallone praises Jason Statham’s strong work ethic after his accident on set of “The Expendables 3”

Actor Terry Crews was the first one of the “Expandables” gang to speak up about Jason Statham’s heroic yet unplanned underwater stunt on the set of “The Expendables 3” back in September.

In an exclusive interview with Metro.co.uk, Sylvester Stallone now opened up about what had happened that day and said it was “unbelievable” how Jason Statham managed the whole situation.

“We had a scene where a truck went out of control and Jason Statham went to the bottom of the river.

“If all the Expendables had been on that – we were supposed to be on it a minute later – it could have been fatal.”

“The truck went to the bottom of the river taking the camera crew and the camera crane.”

“We lost a million dollars of equipment in a moment and Jason was unbelievable because he’s in heavy boots and swam to the top.

“He was cool. He cleaned off. A lot of people would have said, ‘I’m done’.”

“I’m just telling you how dangerous this is. This isn’t a little going into a pond. This was off a 12 foot pier, five foot to the bottom.”

One thing is for sure: Jason Statham’s commitment to his job knows no boundaries, and we truly hope he doesn’t have to prove that again in such a dangerous and scary way.
