Production on Paul Feig’s comedy “Spy” (previously known as “Susan Cooper) starts today, March 31, 2014 in Budapest, Hungary (Source), and we finally get to learn a bit more about the film project that has our favorite Brit Jason Statham revisit his comedic roots.
Melissa McCarthy plays CIA analyst, Susan Cooper, who goes into the field to search for the person responsible for her lover’s death. Jude Law is that lover described as a suave super-spy, while Jason Statham will play an overconfident yet clumsy spy. Other cast are Rose Byrne and British comedienne Miranda Hart.
According to THR, Bobby Cannavale (“Parker”) and Nia Long are in negotiations to join the cast as well.
JStatham.com Team: Jason Statham as overconfident yet clumsy spy? This we need to see! And we have no doubt that he will be as convincing as when he takes on the bad guys with his incredible fighting skills.
