Jason Statham shows his competitive side on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” – August 15, 2014

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” with Jason Statham as a guest aired last night on NBC, but we learned that it was already taped on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 8:30 PM at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.

First up was an interview with Jason Statham in which he shared in detail what really happened on set of “The Expendables 3” back in Bulgaria last year when he suddenly went under water the black sea in a truck and thought that was it for him. We can’t even begin to imagine what he must have felt in that moment let alone express in words how thankful we are that he managed to get back on the surface of the water. His courage to talk about his near-death experience to the public is simply admirable!

What followed next was the moment we had been waiting for all week. The two boys, who share a special bond since day one, went bigger this time and raced each other in giant inflatable “hamster” balls. Yes, you have heard right. Dressed in track suits, Jason in blue and Jimmy in red, they were more than ready to roll up and down the Rockefeller Plaza with the crowd cheering them on. But it was already clear from the beginning who would win when Jason dived inside the over-sized ball gracefully while Jimmy still seemed to figure out how to get inside without hurting himself. It was such a joy to watch Jason’s competitive side kick in, which had him already half way through the plaza before Jimmy managed to get his ball rolling.

These two are just priceless together, and only Jimmy knows how to get our lovely Brit out of his shell on public television.

  1. Did J scoop a scan of the QG shoot from you and post on his FB page? Coolio. I LOVE the photo he posted. It’s one of the best I’ve seen. So much going on – it’s the best of the bunch.

  2. It seems so. Glad he can use them. It’s such a beautiful photo shoot of him and we are excited he finally has got a new one out. Can’t wait to buy the actual magazine, we definitely need a physical copy of that one.
