While we knew our favorite Brit was going to be back in “Fast 8” renamed “The Fate of the Furious,” we had no clue as to how his character Deckard Shaw would resurface since he was imprisoned in “Furious 7.” To see him – if only grudgingly – team up with Toretto’s family, who apparently has turned his back on them, was nothing we ever expected. What a fantastic and surprising twist. We can’t wait to see Jason be part of the crazy bunch and hope he has more scenes than last time.
Congratulations to director F. Gary Gray, cast and crew and everyone else involved. With 139 million views in the first 24 hours, “The Fate of the Furious” broke the worldwide record and made it the largest ever trailer debut.
As much as we love watching our favorite Brit do his push ups, let’s not forget he is doing this for an important cause which is to bring awareness to the fact that on average twenty-two American servicemen and women take their own lives every day.
Director and writer Guy Ritchie nominated our favorite Brit the first time around. However, Jason was not amused when he watched Mr. Ritchie’s videos on Instagram and said he was short of three push ups in total, which he insisted on donating. We love their banter even more so because it’s for an important cause. After Jason posted the new video, Mr. Ritchie left a comment below it saying, “Think ya funny don’t cha?” Oh yes, we think he absolutely is and now we are hoping this will turn into a push up battle between the two of them, if it already hasn’t.
To honor those who serve and to raise awareness for veteran suicide. Real heroes that need help.
