Based on Steve Alten’s novel of the same name and the first in the series, “Meg” is about a massive pre-historic shark that resurfaces to wreak havoc along the China coast. Jon Turteltaub is attached to direct. Warner Bros is moving forward with the project in conjunction with China-based Gravity.
We will let you know as soon as our favorite Brit’s involvement is officially confirmed.
Some of the interviews with Jason Statham conducted at the Delano Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida and at the “Homefront” press conference in Los Angeles, California were finally released online. Naturally, he talks about his new film “Homefront” and also spills the beans about his other upcoming film projects including “The Expendables 3,” “Fast and Furious 7” and the still unconfirmed “Susan Cooper.”
We are sure more interviews will surface in the next few days and we will add them to this post, so make sure to check back. Also feel free to email us at email@example.com in case you come across articles and videos that we have missed. We always appreciate your help!
It looks like our action hero Jason Statham is interested in joining “Gilmore Girls” actress Melissa McCarthy in the Paul Feig-directed comedy “Susan Cooper.” According to Deadline, Jason Statham got together with the director and negotiations about his possible involvement with the project will begin soon. Melissa McCarthy will play an unlikely secret agent while our favorite Brit would play a spy on the same side, if he decides to be part of the film.
What do you think? We have to say this sounds REALLY great since Jason Statham has already proved his comedic talent in his breakthrough film “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” then “Snatch” and “Mean Machine.” So to see him star in a comedy for the first time opposite the adorable and super funny Melissa McCarthy (“Bridesmaids,” “The Heat”) would be nothing short of awesome. Please make this happen Hollywood.
Well, this article by Novinite has definitely caught our attention although it should be considered only a rumor at this point.
According to a local Bulgarian newspaper, Jason Statham plans to film a series in Bulgaria which plot is kept “under a complete secret.” There is also no date yet when this supposed new series would start with production.
What we do know is that Jason has wrapped up “Heat,” and he should be done with “The Expendables 3” and “Fast and Furious 7” by the end of this/beginning of next year. There is also no word on any new projects of his, so this rumored series could be indeed a possibility. And if it is, would it be a TV series (a first for Jason) or a series of films like “The Transporter” trilogy?
