Jason Statham has many exciting new projects in the works and here is a summary of what to look forward to:

  • Mechanic: Resurrection (2016): The upcoming sequel to “The Mechanic” is set to be released on August 26, 2016. Its release date has been pushed back several times to assure no other high-profile films will compete against it. Read the latest news.

  • Viva La Madness (20??): Based on J. J. Connolly’s second crime novel of the same name and sequel to “Layer Cake,” it was originally planned to be made into a film. It is currently in pre-production and supposed to begin filming in London, UK in 2016. Read the latest news.

  • Furious 8 (2017): Scheduled for a release on April 14, 2017, Jason Statham confirmed his return as Deckard Shaw. F. Gary Gray (“The Italian Job,” “Straight Outta Compton”) will direct the eight installment set to start principal photography in 2016. Read the latest news.

  • The Expendables 4 (2017): Not much is known at this point aside from the distribution deal with China and the plan to start filming in 2016 for a release in 2017. Director and cast haven’t been officially announced yet but Jason Statham is expected to return alongside Sylvester Stallone. Read the latest news.

  • Crank 3 (20??): While there is no specific date known, Mark Neveldine, co-writer and co-director of “Crank” and “Crank: High Voltage,” confirmed that the third installment was approved by the film studio and Jason Statham is set to reprise his role as Chev Chelios. Read the latest news.

  • High Value Target (20??): The film project with the least information but Tony Jaa hinted at working with Jason Statham and a promotional poster was released at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Read the latest news.

  • Untitled Hong Kong Project (20??): The action-thriller is expected to start filming in fall 2016 in China and Europe and stars Jason Statham as an expatriate Brit in Hong Kong who goes on the run with a high-level female Chinese agent to solve a kidnapping with global implications.
