Rama’s Screen attended the press junket for Mark Neveldine’s new film “The Vatican Tapes,” who wrote and directed “Crank” and “Crank: High Voltage” together with Brian Taylor. When asked about “Crank 3” and whether Jason Statham and Amy Smart would return to reprise their roles, he said:
“Brian [Taylor] and I, we wanted to kinda go off and do a couple of things on our own, ya know, of course we’re working on “Crank 3” and we’re going to hopefully do that next year.”
“For “Crank 3” that’s the plan right now. No one’s sealed but the idea is that we wanted to bring the original band back together and finish the trilogy.”
Statham is still very much interested in doing another “Crank” film, which he confirmed in several recent interviews. Neveldine hasn’t let go of the idea either, so let’s hope they will finally make it happen in 2016.
With the “Spy” promotion now over, we added many more video interviews with Jason Statham at film premieres and press junkets in Austin, Los Angeles, London, Berlin and New York City. It was wonderful seeing him so excited about his latest film, and we hope you already had a chance to watch this brilliant comedy in a cinema near you.
We made our way to the cinema on April 5, 2015 to watch “Furious Seven” and we finally had enough time to share our thoughts about Jason Statham taking over the seventh installment.
Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) sets out to revenge his brother Owen and goes after Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and gang, who put him into the hospital.
The opening scene was THE highlight of the whole film. It introduced Jason Statham’s character in such a visual way that there was no doubt about his abilities to cause serious damage to those he was after. The opening scene was truly breathtaking as well as exhilarating and Statham knew how to make a haunting impression with his body language alone.
Jason Statham was a guest on the talk shows “Good Morning America,” “LIVE! with Kelly and Michael,” and “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in New York City on June 3, 2015 to spread the word about his new film “Spy.” He was in such a great mood, laughed a lot and charmed everyone with his wonderful sense of humor.
