2015 SXSW Schedule: “Spy” screening to take place on March 15, 2015

As previously reported, Paul Feig’s comedy “Spy” is among the headliners at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Conference and Festival taking place March 13 – 21, 2015 in Austin, Texas. Today the full lineup schedule was released and “Spy” will celebrate its premiere at the annual film festival on Sunday, March 15, 2015. You can find more detailed information here.

Synopsis: Susan Cooper (Melissa McCarthy) is a deskbound CIA analyst who provides instantaneous intel into the earpiece of a globetrotting field agent (Jude Law). But when he runs afoul of a Bulgarian criminal cartel, Susan is sent on a recon mission, hampered by a rogue agent (Jason Statham) and aided by her oddball colleague (Miranda Hart). Donning a series of outrageous identities, Susan infiltrates the shadowy world of an alluring but dangerous weapons dealer (Rose Byrne). The two women leave a trail of mayhem crisscrossing Europe, as Susan utilizes deception and false bravado to try to outwit Rayna and locate a stolen nuke.

“Spy” will be released in US theaters on May 22, 2015 and in UK theaters on June 5, 2015.
