The IMDb Page of “Wild Card” was updated with a link to the film’s official Japanese website wildcard-movie.com, featuring a brand new international poster. Our team member Ashley has already added it to the gallery.
“Wild Card” is set to be released in Japan on January 31, 2015. A list of cinemas showing the film can be found here.
The first trailer of Jason Statham’s “Wild Card” is finally here, courtesy of the French production company La Belle. Directed by Simon West and based on the novel “Heat” by William Goldman who also wrote the screenplay, the film follows Nick Wild as he deals with gambling addiction, a beaten up friend and a very dangerous Italian mobster.
We love how Jason’s distinctive gravelly voice dominates the film along with his breathtaking fighting style that his friend and action director, Corey Yuen, highlights beautifully. We also detect a bit of humor and hope there will be more of our favorite Brit’s natural wit in the film.
Jason Statham just updated his official Facebook Page with this brilliant black and white shot of himself wearing a wet suit on board of the superyacht SuRi in Thailand. He added the words, “Second week of filming on Mechanic 2 Resurrection over in Thailand. Cheers Dan Smith for the photo.”
Take a look at this gorgeous snapshot of Jason Statham, Jessica Alba and Sam Hazeldine on their way back to the hotel in Thailand today. In the background you can see the superyacht SuRi where filming for “Mechanic: Resurrection” takes place right now. The actress just shared this photo via her official Twitter.
Judging from that picture, we think Jessica Alba plays Jason’s love interest who is held hostage on board of the superyacht by Sam who we assume to be the baddie. That would support the fact that several fight scenes with Jason are being filmed on SuRi.
